Get Your cv working

The first thing you need to do is get on our books as such, we’ll need you to upload a current CV detailing your skills, qualifications, employment history and a brief description of why you are looking for or appying for a job.

When a client calls us with an urgent request the first place we’ll look is our CV database to match up job seekers to jobs.

Before you upload your CV you’ve been firing off to everyone in the past, take a few extra minutes to check if you feel it’s representing you as well as possible. Is your CV clear and concise? Does it include all the relevant details to work experience and dates?Is all your qualifications, skills & achievements correct and detailed?

Finally, ask yourself whether this CV is suitably tailored to the next job you hope to get. Clients are always quite clear about what they are looking for in their ideal candidate. So run through your CV again, and make sure you haven’t under-played anything that may be relevant.

Impress and standout at an interview

It’s no secret. The best way to impress at an interview is to arrive prepared.

  • The default dress code for any interview is ‘smart’. Even if the job you’re applying for involves months on a muddy building site.
  • Spend time researching the organisation: look at the website, read the last annual report, and quiz anyone you know who has worked there. Use this information to identify a few questions you can ask the interviewer yourself, to demonstrate your interest.
  • Read through your CV and application letter before the interview, to remind yourself of any key points you want to get across.
  • Some questions always come up in interviews, so get your answers ready: Why do you want this job? Where does it fit in your career plans? And of course that old chestnut, ‘What are your strengths and weaknesses?’

If you’re in the market for contract work, to maybe suit your lifestyle then register with us.

  • Please bring along some ID (to prove you’re eligible to work in the UK) along with copies of your CV, your industry qualifications and any other documents you think may help.
  • Once we’ve found you a suitable position, let us know if you ever need to take time off for a vacation or health reasons, so we can offer to provide cover while you’re away.
  • Our dedicated payroll team will see that you’re paid weekly for your work. If you have any questions you can contact them directly.
  • When you’re ready for a change, or a permanent job, remember to tell us as soon as possible so we can start working the phones on your behalf!
